Sienna Evening-Oil 12in.x12in.

This was a timed painting. 31/2 hours to be exact. I told everyone not to enter my studio and the clock started ticking! I didn't have time to do a drawing but just loosely stroked in a few basic lines to start from. I really liked what happened. I found myself really focusing on only the bare essentials and trying to lay down the right colors and values right away. Its amazing what you can do under pressure. This was a great exercise for me.

Kamloops Back Alley- Oil 16x20

I nearly caused a car accident when I stopped to photograph this back alley. I loved the old buildings and color contrasts. I've painted it several times in different formats and sold each one. I guess people can relate to 'Back Alleys' in some way or another.
